Ceasefire violation by Pakistani Army in Mankot sector
Indian targets attacked without any provocation: Army
Poonch, Nov 07: India on Saturday accused Pakistan of violating ceasefire agreement, between the two countries, in Mankot sector of Poonch district in Jammu region, news agency KDC reported.
According to the report, Pkistani Army on Saturday morning targeted Indian posts and civilian areas with mortar shelling in Mankot sector of Poonch district, along LoC.
The other side also used light machine guns during the unprovoked violation of the ceasefire agreement, report added.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter, PRO Defence Jammu wrote about the incident,” #Pak continues unprovoked #CeasefireViolations along #LoC. Today at 0230 hrs Pak initiated unprovoked small arms firing & shelling with #Mortars along #LoC in #Mankote sector, Distt Poonch
#IndianArmy retaliated befittingly.”
Meanwhile there was no report of any causality on the either sides till reports last came in. (KDC)
