ARMY RESPONDS TO DISTRESS CALLS
SRINAGAR:Ever there for the wellbeing of the local populace, the Army has always responded with alacrity to any distress call from the Awaam of Kashmir- be it a natural calamity or any other untoward incident.
The Army in Baramula sprung into action on 01 Jun 17 when a fully loaded truck on its way to Salamabad met with an accident after losing control and skidding off the road. Pressing two of its recovery vehicles into service the Army’s experienced rescue team successfully retrieved the vehicle and provided first aid treatment to the driver.
In the recent past also, a Tata Mini Bus of Jabla Gaon and some trucks which had got stuck in a drain had been retrieved by the Army reinforcing its commitment to the safety and well being for the people.
