Hyderabad, Nov 11: Former MLA and Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Desini Chinna Mallaiah passed away at Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here in the wee hours on Saturday while undergoing treatment due to prolonged illness.
He is 87 and survived by wife, two sons and four daughters.His funeral will take place in the afternoon, party sources said.
Mallaiah had elected as an MLA on Communist Party of India (CPI) ticket from Indurthi for four times.In a message, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed his deep sympathies over the death of Mallaiah.
