The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch Kashmir on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against a former Patwari, now serving as a Naib Tehsildar, for allegedly tampering with revenue records to fraudulently transfer jointly owned ancestral land in Kupwara.
The investigation found that the accused allegedly forged revenue documents and manipulated official records to misrepresent ownership of the land.
The chargesheet has been filed before a court in Kupwara under relevant provisions of the Ranbir Penal Code for judicial proceedings.
