Police on Tuesday apprehended three alleged Over Ground Workers (OGWs) in the Sarbal area of Anantnag after they were flagged by a Facial Recognition System (FRS) installed for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

Officials said the suspects were intercepted following FRS alerts, and their identities were verified before being taken into custody for further legal proceedings.

Police said the use of technology has strengthened security arrangements for the annual pilgrimage.
