Rail service resumes in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 27: Train services resumed on Saturday after remaining suspended on Friday in the Kashmir valley for security reasons in view of threat perception following call for strike and protests by separatist organisation yesterday, when people celebrated Republic Day.
All trains will chug on Saturday in the Kashmir valley, a railway official told UNI this morning.
Train service remained suspended for the second day on Friday for security reasons in south Kashmir, where two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian on Wednesday.
