Akash Gautam, former Delhi State President of the Samajwadi Party's SC/ST Cell, was formally inducted into the Rashtriya Lok Dal in the presence of RLD National President and Union Minister Chaudhary Jayant Singh at his official residence at 25 Tuglaq Road, New Delhi.
A 28-year-old postgraduate in Political Science from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, Gautam has worked on issues of social justice and Bahujan rights. He previously served as National Secretary of the SP SC/ST Cell and Delhi State President for over two years. His great-grandfather, Late R.P. Satsangi, was a Congress MLA from Mathura district in 1970.
After joining RLD, Gautam said he would carry forward the fight for farmers, youth and social justice under Jayant Singh's leadership.
