A Special NIA Court in Jammu has issued an open-dated non-bailable warrant against designated terrorist Hafiz Muhammad Saeed in connection with an NIA terror case.
The court observed that his arrest and custodial interrogation are necessary for a fair and effective investigation and noted that he is deliberately evading arrest while operating from Pakistan. The warrant has been forwarded to the DIG, NIA Jammu, for execution.
The case involves offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), with a supplementary chargesheet already filed before the court.
