Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 3 : Chairperson of Kerala State Human Rights Commission, Justice Antony Dominic, has called on Kerala Governor Justice (Retd) P Sathasivam at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.
During the courtesy visit, they discussed measures for improving general awareness about human rights in society, sources said.
The Governor also offered to encourage universities to spread such awareness through campaigns among students.
Justice Antony Dominic, who retired on May 30 as Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, met the Governor on Saturday after his appointment as the new Chairman of the Commission.
Following the retirement of Justice K B Koshy, the post was kept vacant since August 2016. Later, Judicial Member P Mohandas had been functioning as acting chairman of the commission.
