All J&K +2 Lecturers Association calls on LG, seeks redressal of demands

Srinagar: A delegation of the Association under the leadership of Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Khan,
Vice President, today on 25/10/2020 called on His Excellency, hon’ble LG, Shri Manoj
Sinha at his residence and apprised him about the decades long and continual stagnation in
the +2 cadre and the resultant distressing effects on the overall morale of the lecturers’
community.
Hon’ble LG was pleased enough to give a patient hearing and assured the delegation
that the matter will be looked into and redressed. Hon’ble LG stressed for synergy between
the key stakeholders to improve the educational scenario in the UT and incorporation of latest
techniques and making education employable and industry oriented. The delegation assured
the Hon’ble LG that +2 teachers were/would be part of every effort for improving the
educational scenario and for the welfare of the student community in UT.
The delegation thanked hon’ble LG for his cordial approach and unwearyingly
hearing to the long pending demands of the association. The delegation comprised of Dr.
Nazim(Gen. Sec), Mr. Mansoor Ahmad (VP), Mr. Khursheed Alam, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad
Rather, Dr. Shahnawaz Malik and Mr. Khalid Masroor.
Later on a meeting of executive committee was held to discuss the status of time to
time demands submitted to higher authorities for their redressal. Worthy Secretary to Govt.
SED Mr. B.K. Sing was requested to issue orders for the placement of lecturers as Sr.
Lecturers as the combined seniority has been already framed by the Administrative
Department.
