The Jammu and Kashmir administration today appointed Harmeet Singh Mehta, a senior officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Service from the 2001 batch, as SSP of Bandipora in a recent administrative decision made by the Election Commission of India.
In this regard, the order, states that Mehta was SSP Railways, Kashmir, prior to this, and will now assume the position of SSP Bandipora.
The transfer according to the order is a routine administrative adjustment aimed at enhancing the law and order situation in the entire region.
