Lone Mocks Omar for Not Knowing Reservation File Had Left Centre Three Weeks Ago

Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone on Sunday took a sharp dig at Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the handling of the reservation file, saying the CM raised the issue of delay in clearance with Home Minister Amit Shah only to be told the file had already been dispatched three weeks ago.

"It seems nobody in his office thought it necessary to tell him," Lone remarked in a post on X. He also took aim at photographs from the meeting, saying the CM was seen "grinning from ear to ear like an overexcited marathoner" while handing over a bouquet, apparently congratulating the BJP for its recent electoral performance.

Lone questioned the methodology behind the Sub-Committee's reservation recommendations, saying there was "no evidence of research" to back them, and called the government's approach "casual" on a sensitive issue.
