Awami Itihaad Party Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Sunday announced that the funeral prayers of Haji Mohammad Khazir Sheikh, father of jailed Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid, will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at the family's ancestral village Mawar Payeen in Tehsil Qalamabad, Handwara.
Er Rashid, granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court, is scheduled to arrive at Srinagar Airport Monday morning and will proceed directly to Handwara to participate in the funeral and last rites. The AIP urged supporters and well-wishers to maintain discipline and dignity during the proceedings.
