Karwani Islami International chief Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami on Thursday said Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), popularly known as Amir-e-Kabeer, was not merely the reformer of Kashmir but a great benefactor of the Muslim Ummah whose services continue to inspire generations.
Addressing a gathering at Central Jamia Masjid Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) in Chimmer Noorabad, Allama Hami said Amir-e-Kabeer (RA) played a historic role in spreading Islam, promoting spiritual values and strengthening the social, intellectual and economic foundations of Kashmir and Central Asia.
He said the teachings and mission of Amir-e-Kabeer (RA) remain relevant even today and stressed the need for building morally, intellectually and socially strong youth. He also called for establishing spiritual centres to counter growing social evils, including drug addiction and crime.
A large number of devotees and followers from different areas attended the event.
