JKEEGA Delegation Meets Advisor to CM on Career Progression of Junior Engineers

A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA), led by its General Secretary, Er. Pirzada Hidayatullah, called on the Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Nasir Aslam Wani, at the Civil Secretariat today.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the long-standing issue of career stagnation faced by Junior Engineers (JEs) of the Power Development Department, many of whom have remained deprived of adequate promotional avenues for over a decade. The delegation urged the Advisor to take a compassionate view of the matter and explore suitable measures to facilitate the career progression of these engineers.

A detailed memorandum outlining the concerns and demands of the affected engineers was submitted to the Advisor. Shri Nasir Aslam Wani gave a patient hearing to the delegation and, on the spot, referred the representation to the concerned Administrative Department for necessary examination and appropriate action.

The delegation expressed hope that the genuine grievances of the Junior Engineers would receive due consideration and that a viable solution would be evolved at the earliest.

The delegation comprised Er. Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Er. Farhan Manzoor Shah, Er. Tufail Ahmad Khan, Er. Hur-e-Yasrab, Er. Asif Iqbal, Er. Yawar Fayaz, Er. Khurram Nazir, Er. Mubashir-ul-Zaman and others.
