PM Modi Interacts with Global Investors Ahead of Bharat Innovates 2026 in France

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday interacted with leading venture capitalists, global investors, and innovation ecosystem leaders in Nice ahead of the inauguration of the Bharat Innovates 2026 conclave, a flagship event aimed at showcasing India’s deep-tech and startup capabilities globally.

French President Emmanuel Macron, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Principal Scientific Advisor Ajay Kumar Sood were present during the interaction. Participants included OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal, entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala, and several international investors.

The three-day conclave, being held from June 14 to 16, brings together more than 120 Indian deep-tech startups and over 15 higher education and research institutions. The event focuses on sectors such as advanced computing, semiconductors, space technology, defence innovation, biotechnology, healthcare, and climate solutions.

PM Modi and President Macron are expected to hold bilateral talks to review progress in India-France ties and discuss future cooperation under the recently elevated Special Global Strategic Partnership.

The Prime Minister’s visit to France will also include participation in the G7 Summit in Evian and the VivaTech Summit in Paris, where India will host the largest national pavilion. PM Modi will also undertake a bilateral visit to Slovakia during his Europe tour.
