Srinagar Airport has announced a proposed runway maintenance schedule that could impact flight operations between July and October 2026.
According to an advisory issued by the airport, Runway 01 is proposed to remain unavailable every Monday and Tuesday from July 1 to September 30 as part of maintenance work planned by the Indian Air Force.
The airport has also proposed a complete suspension of runway operations from October 1 to October 16, 2026.
Authorities clarified that the maintenance plan is still under consideration and has not yet received final approval. Passengers have been advised not to rely on unverified reports and to follow official airport and airline communication channels for updates.
The airport said detailed information regarding flight schedules and operational changes will be shared once the proposal receives formal approval.
Srinagar Airport handles significant passenger traffic, particularly during the peak tourism season, making advance coordination with airlines and travel stakeholders essential if the proposed restrictions are implemented.
