Budgam Police has registered an FIR in connection with the Hardpanzoo incident involving followers of different groups within the Shia community and said a fair, impartial and evidence-based investigation is underway.
Police stated that all those found involved in instigating or participating in unlawful activities will face legal action, regardless of affiliation.
The department also warned against the circulation of unverified and inflammatory content on social media, saying strict action will be taken against those spreading misinformation, and appealed to the public to maintain peace, communal harmony and cooperate with the investigation.
