A 56-year-old headmaster was killed after being hit by a vehicle in the Younsu area of Handwara on Wednesday night.
The deceased, identified as Fayaz Ahmad Lone of Wahipora, was a pedestrian and suffered critical injuries in the accident, dying on the spot.
Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
