‘35-A hearing at SC’: PDP leader files petition as respondent for safeguard of 35-A
Srinagar, Aug 31 (PR): A senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader during the hearing of Article 35-A at India’s Supreme Court had filed a petition as a respondent to the plea seeking its dismissal.
As per the reports coming to fore, senior PDP leader and member of upper house member, Mohammad Khurshid Alam through his advocate Anupam Raina and Jahangir Iqbal Ganae filed the petition as the respondents to the case pertaining to Article 35-A at the Supreme Court.
There are reports that Alam remained present in the Supreme Court through the hearing and besides the intervention petitions, Alam’s petition was of a respondent that sought dismissal of the plea that has sought removal of article 35-A.
PDP leader had termed 35-A as the very identity of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and irrevocable.
Meanwhile, there hasn’t been any confirmation about whether Alam had filed the petition on PDP’s behalf or on his own.
