Shopian, Nov 16: Amid Politically heated atmosphere for the elections in J&K, Ten candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers from South Kashmir’s Shopian on Monday.
Officials informed News Agency KDC that on the last date of withdrawal ten candidates out of 91 for DDC, Sarpanch and Panch seats withdrew their nominations from Shopian district.
As per official data, one DDC candidate and 9 candidates fighting for Panch seats have withdrawn their nomination papers.
Pertinently, EC had notified 28 November as the date for polling of First Phase of DDC and Panchayat By-elections. (KDC)
