Mughal road likely to reopen on April 15
Shopian: According to the Chief Engineer Mughal road, work on restoring the road for vehicular traffic is going on at full pace and shall be made fit for traffic movement by April 15, 2017.
He said that clearance work is under progress as vast stretches on the 84 kilometer long road, which connects Shopian district in Kashmir Valley with Poonch district in Jammu Division, is snowbound.
The Chief Engineer said that occasional landslides are hampering work, but men and machinery has been geared up to expedite the clearance operations. He said, so far, 24km stretch from Shopian end and 20 km stretch from Rajouri end have been cleared.
