Three Dry Days for J&K and Ladakh Before Fresh Wet Spell From June 4

Weather conditions in Ladakh are expected to improve gradually from Sunday afternoon, while parts of Jammu and Kashmir may continue to witness cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall over the coming days, according to the Meteorological Centre Leh-Ladakh.

The forecast comes amid fluctuating weather conditions across the region, with rainfall and cloud cover affecting several areas and contributing to an unsettled weather pattern.

According to the weather office, light rainfall was recorded at several places in Leh, Nubra, and Changthang districts. Snowfall was also reported over higher peaks and mountain passes, impacting weather conditions in the region.

Officials said weather conditions in Ladakh are likely to improve gradually from Sunday afternoon, bringing relief after recent precipitation and cloudy weather.

For the period from June 1 to June 3, the Meteorological Centre has forecast mainly dry weather across both Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.

However, from June 4 to June 6, cloudy conditions accompanied by chances of rainfall are expected at isolated places in Ladakh and at many locations across Jammu and Kashmir.

The weather department has advised residents, travelers, and local authorities to closely monitor weather updates, particularly in higher-altitude areas and locations prone to sudden rainfall or snowfall.

Authorities have urged the public to stay informed through official weather bulletins and exercise caution while traveling in vulnerable regions.
