Srinagar, Apr (PR): Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday greeted people on Shab-e-Baraat and hoped that the auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, prosperity and well-being for the entire humanity.

In his message, Mr Bukhari described the occasion as an opportunity to seek Allahโ€™s mercy and help for redemption from the crisis emerged out of COVID-19 that has crippled the entire world.

Appealing people to abide by the COVID-19 health advisories from the government, the JKAP president remarked that the people are going through extremely hard times and any violation of protocol set by the health department to tackle the deadly disease can put lives of people in trouble.

โ€œI humbly request the people to go strictly by the government advisories and also appeal the religious scholars and prayer leaders to guide people to take required steps to stem spread of Coronavirus pandemic while observing the sacred night of Shab-e-Barat,โ€ he appealed.

Highlighting the significance of Shab-e-Barat, the JKAP president said that the auspicious occasion provides an opportunity to people to seek forgiveness and blessings of Allah.

โ€œWhile we pray to Almighty Allah for forgiveness for our bad deeds, we should also seek Allahโ€™s mercy to save the entire humanity from the havoc created by the deadly virus,โ€ he remarked.

Mr Bukhari observed that during the holy night of prayers, people should seek penance and forgiveness from Almighty Allah and vow to be compassionate and work towards strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, love and amity among themselves.
