Ceasefire violation in three sectors of Poonch: Army

Srinagar, Nov 10: India on Tuesday accused Pakistan of violating a ceasefire agreement, between the two countries, Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of Poonch district in Jammu region, news agency KDC reported.

According to the report reaching here, Pakistani Army on Saturday morning targeted Indian posts and civilian areas with mortar shelling in three sectors of Poonch district, Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba, along LoC.

The other side also used light machine guns during the unprovoked violation of the ceasefire agreement, report added.

The cross LoC firing was going on when reports last came in.

Meanwhile an Army official said that the unprovoked firing from across the LoC was responded effectively and befittingly; however there were no reports of any causality on either sides. (KDC)
