Prof Ahmadullah Khan’s Wife Passes Away in Srinagar

The wife of Professor Ahmadullah Khan of Barbershah, former Principal of SP College Srinagar, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Srinagar, plunging the family, relatives, and the entire locality into deep grief.

The deceased was the mother of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Altaf Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Khan. Her last rites were performed on the same day at Barbershah, Srinagar, amid a large gathering of people from different walks of life who came to pay their last respects.

The late woman was known for her piety and noble character and was held in high esteem across the area. Condolences continue to pour in for the bereaved family, particularly DIG Altaf Khan and SSP Zubair Khan, with people expressing solidarity and sympathy during this difficult time.

Chairman of Kashmir Press Service (KPS) Media Group, Akash Amin, expressed deep sorrow over the demise and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to DIG Altaf Khan, SSP Zubair Khan, and other members of the bereaved family. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and patience for the family to bear this irreparable loss.

“May Almighty Allah grant the departed soul a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give the bereaved family the courage and patience to endure this immense loss,” he said.

According to family members, the Chaharum (fourth-day condolence prayers) of the deceased will be observed today, Monday, January 12, 2026.
