Panic gripped the Tral area of Pulwama on Saturday after a wild animal, suspected to be a wild boar, went on the rampage in the market area, attacking pedestrians and leaving four civilians injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the sudden attack triggered chaos as people fled for safety, rushing inside nearby shops to escape the animal. Among the injured was a little girl in the Hamdania Market area of Tral, who was attacked by the animal. Her mother also sustained injuries while trying to save her daughter.

The injured were immediately evacuated to Sub-District Hospital Tral, where they are undergoing treatment. Hospital authorities said their condition is stable.

Officials said the situation was later brought under control, and all concerned departments have been alerted to prevent any further incidents. Meanwhile, fear continues to loom in the area, with local residents and shopkeepers urging authorities to swiftly trap the animal to avoid any recurrence.
