A massive fire broke out at Faizan Baba Hyder Rishi Darul Uloom in Old Mattan Adda, Anantnag, on Tuesday, killing a 12-year-old boy and injuring three others.
The deceased, Bilal Ahmad, son of Mohammad Akbar of Wadwan, succumbed to burn injuries at GMC Anantnag. The injured — Sabit Fayaz, Sahil Ahmad (both from Sangaldan), and Irfan Ahmad of Pahalgam — are receiving treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
