The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir, Crime Branch J&K, has filed a chargesheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar in FIR No. 03/2024 under Sections 420, 468, 167, and 120-B RPC against three accused persons in a land fraud case involving property at Khushipora, HMT Srinagar.
The accused — Mehraj-ud-Din Khanday and Shabir Ahmad Khanday, both sons of Ghulam Ahmad Khanday, residents of Khushipora Abanshah, Srinagar — allegedly conspired with a former Patwari (now deceased) to execute multiple sale deeds for the same piece of land to different buyers using fabricated and manipulated revenue records, causing financial loss to unsuspecting purchasers.
