Srinagar Police Attach ₹3.5-Crore Properties of Two Notorious Peddlers
Srinagar Police on Saturday attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹3.5 crore belonging to two notorious drug peddlers under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985, as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
In the first action, Police Station Nigeen attached a double-storeyed residential house along with land at Habbak Crossing, Hazratbal, worth approximately ₹1.30 crore, belonging to Rahil Manzoor Malla, son of Manzoor Ahmad Malla, in connection with FIR No. 30/2021 under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act.
In a separate action, Police Station Soura attached a residential house worth approximately ₹2.20 crore at Keel Khan Gali, Upper Soura, belonging to Adil Rashid Gudoo, son of Abdul Rashid Gudoo, who is involved in illicit narcotics trafficking.
Both properties were identified during investigation as assets illegally acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking. The attachment orders prohibit the owners from selling, transferring, leasing, alienating or disposing of the properties in any manner pending further legal proceedings.
Srinagar Police urged the public to continue sharing information related to drug trafficking and substance abuse, reaffirming its commitment to dismantling the narcotics ecosystem and realising the vision of a Drug-Free Kashmir.
