A fresh batch of 6,251 pilgrims, including 50 foreign devotees, departed from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu on Wednesday for the annual Amarnath Yatra under multi-layered security arrangements.
Of them, 2,985 pilgrims opted for the Baltal route, while 3,266 proceeded via the Pahalgam route. Officials said the convoy comprised 230 vehicles.
With the latest departure, the total number of pilgrims who have left the Jammu base camp for the holy cave shrine since July 2 has reached 99,287.
