IFFCO Chief Leads Key India–U.S. Agricultural Dialogue in Washington
India–U.S. agricultural cooperation received a significant boost following a high-level dialogue led by IFFCO Chairman Shri Dileep Sanghani at the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) in Washington, D.C., aimed at strengthening bilateral collaboration in agriculture, innovation and food security.
Sanghani led a delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) at the meeting, which brought together key stakeholders, agricultural experts, policymakers and industry representatives from both countries. Discussions covered a wide range of issues including advanced agricultural technologies, soil health management, sustainable farming practices, climate resilience, food security and strategies to enhance farmer welfare.
The USIBC formally acknowledged the significance of the dialogue, describing it as an important step toward advancing agricultural cooperation between the two nations. The Council emphasized that the discussions would help create new avenues for collaboration, address shared agricultural challenges and unlock emerging opportunities for both countries.
The meeting is being viewed as a significant milestone in deepening the India–U.S. agricultural partnership, with participants agreeing that closer cooperation could drive innovation, improve productivity and create sustainable growth opportunities across the agricultural value chain.
The dialogue also underscored IFFCO's growing international presence and Shri Sanghani's role in representing Indian farmers' interests on global platforms, reinforcing the cooperative movement's expanding relevance worldwide.
