Shopian Police on Monday attached a residential house worth over ₹71 lakh allegedly acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking.

The property, belonging to Showkat Ahmad Naik of Saidpora Bala, was attached in connection with FIR No. 11/2024 registered at Police Station Shopian. Police said the action was carried out in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and other officials to ensure legal compliance and transparency.

Reiterating its commitment to combating narcotics, the police urged the public to share information related to drug trafficking and other illegal activities.
