The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has unveiled a comprehensive plan to strengthen security along the international border, with a special focus on Jammu and Kashmir.

The initiative includes setting up additional border posts, modernising BSF infrastructure and deploying advanced surveillance, anti-drone systems and electronic monitoring technology to counter infiltration, terrorism and cross-border narcotics smuggling.

Officials said a four-tier security mechanism involving the BSF, civil administration, central agencies and local communities will be introduced to enhance coordination, intelligence gathering and rapid response along the border.
