Drive to increase enrolment in govt schools in full swing in district Ganderbal
‘Hundreds of students enrolled in different schools of District by efforts of teachers'
Srinagar, Dec 7 (PR): To increase the strength of students in government schools, the Education Department has started an enrolment drive in all the schools of the valley.
Here in Ganderbal the enrollment drive is in full swing in all the four Educational Zones, Ganderbal, Tullamulla, Hariganwan and Kangan an official of the department said.
In view of the enrolment drive, the teachers of all the four Zones have admitted nearly hundreds of students in different schools of the district. This was stated by Incharge Officer Ganderbal Nazir Ahmad Wani while opening No. of defunct schools and enrolling new students in Ganderbal Zone of the district.
He said, “An enrolment drive for admission to the pre-primary classes had started in the last month with an aim to enhance enrolment as well as shape the learning level of kids. This time, all education officers, school heads and teachers need to take a big leap. Besides, the schools that will witness an increase in the number of admissions as compared to the last session will be honoured.
During door to door campaigning for enrolment of new students, he said that as per the directions of Director School Education Kashmir, Mohd Younis Malik the teachers have visited many households and acquainted the parents about the importance of Education.
Mr Wani said that during this enrolment drive many schools have shown encouraging results by enrolling large number of new students and students from private schools respectively in their schools.
In today’s enrollment drive, the CEO along with Zonal Education Officer Ganderbal Ab Rehman visited Draribal, Harran, Bamloora, Butbagh, Chanhar and other adjoining areas and interacted with the parents and highlighted the importance of imparting education to the children.
On the occassion they distributed Bags and Notebooks among the students
They were accompanied with Mir Javaid, Bhat Showkat, John Mohd and ZRPs and CRPs of the District.
