KUPWARA, JANUARY 27: As part of Road Safety Month, Motor Vehicles Department Kupwara today organized Medical cum Awareness programme here at Sumo Stand Handwara in which large number of commercial vehicle drivers participated.
On the occasion, Medical checkup of drivers was conducted by a team of doctors to assess the health condition of drivers for safe and healthy driving experience.
ARTO Kupwara, Mukhtar Ahmad said that the objective of conducting such camps is to streamline the traffic system in ground and minimize the frequency of road accidents. He urged upon the drivers to drive responsibly and always follow traffic rules in letter and spirit to safeguard their own lives and others on the road.
Experts from the department provided detailed awareness about the road safety and traffic rules to the drivers.
Meanwhile, the drivers expressed their satisfaction over the initiative of the MV department and expected that such medical camps and programmes should be conducted in future also.
