Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday expressed deep concern over the derecognition of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Medical College, terming the move an injustice and a setback for the nation.

Reacting to the development, Farooq Abdullah said the decision has caused widespread disappointment and reflects a disturbing trend in the country’s approach towards educational and medical institutions.
