AAP’s ‘Punjab Model’ Failed, Claims BJP Leader; Congratulates Nitin Naveen on Rajya Sabha Election

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, alleging that its much-publicised “Punjab Model” has failed on all fronts over the past four years.

The leader said that the party came to power promising “change” to the people of Punjab but has delivered what he described as a “hollow structure built on lies, slogans, and government advertisements.”

He alleged that key promises such as providing 2.5 million jobs, eliminating drug abuse within four months, and guaranteeing Minimum Support Price (MSP) have “completely failed.” He further claimed that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated, with an increase in attacks and killings.

According to the statement, drug abuse has worsened instead of declining, while commitments related to medical colleges, mohalla clinics, pensions, and mining revenue remain largely unfulfilled. The BJP leader accused the government of pushing Punjab towards “economic ruin.”

Meanwhile, the leader extended congratulations to Nitin Naveen on being elected as a Rajya Sabha member from Bihar.

“Your long experience in public service, active role as a five-time MLA from Bankipur, and contributions in organisational and social fields will further strengthen Bihar’s voice in the Rajya Sabha,” the statement read.

Expressing confidence in his leadership, the leader said that Naveen’s experience would provide new direction to issues of national interest, public welfare, and development.

The statement concluded with best wishes for his successful tenure in the Upper House of Parliament.
